Freight is charged for the space a machine occupies. That space is set by the packed dimensions, not by how high the machine lifts, and buyers who size a shipment from the model name get it wrong in both directions.

Read the height column first

The 1.2 m crawler packs to 1,420 × 1,020 × 650 mm, which is 0.94 cubic metres. The 4 m crawler packs to 1,620 × 1,120 × 1,740 mm, which is 3.16 cubic metres. The footprint grew about 30 percent, the standing height grew 2.7 times, and the container count fell from 24 to 6. A box 650 mm tall can be stacked two or three high. A box 1,740 mm tall goes on the floor and takes the whole container height.

It also explains two machines that share a 1,420 mm packed length and ship at 12 and 24 per container. The poultry model is a third narrower than the crawler but nearly three times the packed height, 1,750 mm against 650 mm, and the height is what costs it the containers.

20'GP or 40'HQ

Our published ratios run between two and two and a half units per high cube for every unit in a general purpose box: 24 becomes 60, 14 becomes 28, 4 becomes 8. The high cube is usually the cheaper way to move a full container of machines, but it is not automatic, because the fixed costs are paid once either way.

Gross weight matters more than net. Twenty four crawler units at 440 kg gross are 10,560 kg of cargo. Four mast lifts at 3,300 kg gross are 13,200 kg. On some corridors the road weight limit at your end binds before the box is full, which is why you send your forwarder the dimensions and weights above rather than a model name.

How the machines are packed

Each machine is bolted to a heat treated wooden pallet, wrapped in stretch film and covered with a rain sheet. Spare parts ship in a separate plywood box. Packed dimensions and gross weight per model are on the product page, and where a product page and a packing list disagree, the packing list issued at shipment prevails. That wording is from our delivery and payment terms.

Order size, lead time and terms

  • Minimum order is 1 unit on every model.

  • Standard configurations are built in 15 to 20 working days, the mast lift in 20 to 25 and the articulated boom in 25 to 35, counted from receipt of the deposit.

  • Port of shipment is Qingdao.

  • EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP are all available. DDP is quoted only for EU destinations with a valid VAT number.

  • Payment is 30% T/T deposit and 70% before shipment, or an irrevocable letter of credit at sight.

If you are consolidating with other goods, ask us for the packed dimensions before you book, and tell us the container your forwarder has offered. We build to the container we are told about, not to a guess.
