Roadside work is time-boxed by traffic, so the crew needs the platform erected and under load within minutes. Single-person hydraulics and a machine that tows on a light trailer are the usual specification.
Above roughly 8 m the wind becomes the limiting factor rather than reach, so the duty cycle is planned around the morning window and the platform's rated wind speed.
